By selecting, coloring and combining 738 sets of sectional images of tree branches, the artist makes 738 sets of photographic installation of cells. There are three ways of presentation according to different print carriers and presentation venues. In Chinese, the phrase “xian wei” has dual meanings, obvious and subtle, which are paradoxical and conflictive. By processing and transforming the sectional images of tree branches, the artist creates a micro world of cells, accomplishing the transformation and reconciliation of the obvious and the subtle, with a new view of the subtle relations between the real world and its parallel dimensions.
