DESCRIPTION
The aspects of time that interest me are, first, its formless morphology, and second, its dimensional structure. I compressed 14,464 scanned sectional images into a single frame, attempting to explore the representation of temporal form and to articulate the concept of temporal compression. The former is a process of materializing the intangible and abstract morphology of time, while the latter is an attempt to make an unconventional transformation of the physical dimensional structure of time. If the video installation Meteor Sonata presents the dynamic state of this life form across 17 years, then this work offers a static encapsulation of those 17 years as a whole.
